Tenby RNLI lifeboat station has received a donation boost - including one from a five-year-old who completed the May-day mile challenge raising over £1,000 for the cause.

Henry visited the station on Castle Hill after recently completing the challenge to raise funds for the RNLI, where he walked or cycled 1 mile every day during May, raising a tremendous £1067 in the process!

His interest in the RNLI started after a visit to his school last year and he's loved taking part in this challenge, supporting this fantastic charity.

“Well done and thanks from all at Tenby station, Henry!” said a spokesperson for Tenby RNLI.

Another donation was recently presented to crew members in Tenby with a cheque for £700 by local resident Gareth Davies, in memory of his dad, Alan.

Gareth said: "Dad was born and bred in Tenby and spent a lot of time sailing, so the RNLI was always very important to him. It was fitting that we donated this money to them.”
