A sex offender from Tenby has been put behind bars for 15 years after being described as a “dangerous paedophile” in court.

Seventy-two-year-old Christopher Flavin was sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on Friday, December 6, after being charged with grooming and sexually abusing young boys; and making 12 indecent Category B images of a child between July 1, 2018, and December 9, 2023; and of making 296 indecent Category C images of a child between the same dates.

The court heard that ex-teacher Flavin had forced young boys into sexual activities on school premises and conducted inappropriate touching during swimming lessons.

Flavin’s extensive criminal record revealed 27 prior offences of a sexual in nature.

Judge Geraint Walters handed the defendant a 15 year prison sentence.
