A 25-YEAR-OLD driver from Tenby has been banned for 12 months following a drug driving conviction.

Daniel Coles, of Garden Meadows Park, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 3.

He had pleaded guilty on April 1 to driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Garden Meadows Park on December 10, 2024 when the proportion of a controlled drug (THC, the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis) i his blood exceeded the specified limit.

The conviction carries an obligatory disqualification, and Coles was disqualified from driving for a period of 12 months. He was also fined £246.00, plus £85 in costs to Crown Prosecution Service and a victim services surcharge of £98. Magistrates took the guilty plea into account when sentencing.
