A fourteen-year-old girl has admitted stabbing three people in an attack at a Carmarthenshire school, but will appear in court again next month to stand trial, after denying three counts of attempted murder.

Two teachers at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in Ammanford - Fiona Elias and Liz Hopkin, along with a pupil were injured back in April during the incident.

The teenage defendant - who cannot be named because of her age - pleaded guilty to three counts of wounding with intent; and of being in possession of a bladed article on school premises.

She denied three counts of attempted murder at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, August 12, and will remain in secure youth detention accommodation until her trial, which is scheduled for September 30.
