Don’t miss the inventive and magical Christmas Tree Festival, currently on view at Monkton Priory Church, Pembroke, but not for long!

Set in the awe-inspiring surroundings of ‘South Pembrokeshire’s Cathedral’ on a hill opposite Pembroke Castle, the Christmas Tree Festival is the work of creative individuals, groups and schools.

It used to be an annual event, until Covid lockdowns interrupted the flow. This is the first festival in four years and is most definitely worth a visit.

Pupils from Grove, Pennar and Monkton Schools took part in creating trees on the theme of ‘Christmas Carols’, and the church is alive with the workmanship of local crafters.

You can also enjoy the walls of postcards featuring children’s artwork interpretations of their favourite carols.
There is a raffle and tea, coffee, mince pies and cakes are available.
The Festival is free to enter and runs from December 8 to 15, so it is nearing its end. It is open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

The church also welcomes everybody to its carol service on Sunday, December 15 at 4pm.
