FOLLOWING a very sociable (some might say ‘noisy’) afternoon of Duplicate Bridge on February 19, there was quite a tussle for top place.

The honours went to Paul B and Stuart on 60.00%, very closely followed by Doug and Lucy on 59.58% and Geoff and Paul V on 59.17%. Only one Slam was bid and made by Doug and Lucy, although other pairs made Slams but did not bid them.

The club saw six full tables in play, which is more than there have been for a very long time. Alan had to dust off an extra table, but more are available, so players from other Bridge clubs and visitors to the area are always welcome.
