The Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards are a chance to shine a light on the often unsung heroes in the voluntary sector - the volunteers.
Volunteers give their time and commitment to organisations across Pembrokeshire, without them so much just wouldn’t happen.
This is your chance to thank them for everything they do and let them know how much they are valued. There are seven different categories, from individual and group categories (aged under 25 and over 25), trustees and long service to an individual category for those who volunteering has made a difference to the life of that volunteer (Mary Sigley Award).
To complete a nomination form, you will need the permission of the volunteer, and need to know a little bit about them – and a lot about their volunteering (and not be related to them). There is a ‘Top tips’ form, and a nomination form at padlet.com/volforpembs/celebrate or contact PAVS. The deadline is September 30, 2024 at 12 noon.
Finalists will be invited to a gala dinner and awards ceremony held in November at The Queen’s Hall Narberth. The event is organised by PAVS and kindly supported by South Hook LNG as part of their ongoing commitment to local community projects.
Mariam Dalziel, South Hook LNG’s PR Manager, commented “In the year that our Community Fund celebrates a decade-long partnership with PAVS, we are pleased to be continuing our support for the Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards.
Communities across Pembrokeshire benefit hugely from the commitment of volunteers – these Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the many people who give their time, so generously.”
