The local branch of Guide Dogs Cymru is ‘hugely thankful’ for an unexpected boost to their funds from the Narberth Masonic Lodge.

The Pembrokeshire Branch of Guide Dogs Cymru were busy fundraising with their weekly stall on Saundersfoot Harbour on 12 June, when they received a visit from the Worshipful Master W Bro John Mycroft from the Narberth Masonic Lodge No. 2001.

John, together with three other members from the Masonic Lodge, Bros. Richard Fanus, Mike John and Andrew Walker, presented Branch Organiser Eva Rich, who was accompanied by Guide Dog Nancy, with a cheque from the Narberth Lodge for £400 together with a second cheque for £600 from the West Wales Provincial Grand Charity Committee.

Also in attendance at the presentation was guide dog owner, Anthony (Adge) John and guide dog Skip.  Eva expressed sincere thanks to the Narberth Masonic Lodge for such a wonderful and unexpected donation of £1,000, which will help towards the training of guide dogs like Skip and Nancy.

Her thanks are echoed by all the Members of the Pembrokeshire Fundraising Group and the other guide dog partnerships in Pembrokeshire.
