Last year we held our Show at Llanteglos, courtesy of Tony & Jane Baron. This was to have been combined with a day of fun and games on Llanteglos field, but very stormy weather in the morning forced a last minute change of venue due to safety issues with the marques, and luckily we were able to relocate to Llanteglos Conference Centre. We were delighted that it went off as well as it did, with over 200 entries for the various classes. Despite the weather, many people turned up to see the entries, and a raffle raised over £250 towards the Village Hall funds.
Each year we try to vary the classes, to keep it fresh and give entrants something new to aim for. We like having lots of children's categories, and hope once again to have lots of entries from them.
Entry is open to everyone; you do not have to actually live in Llanteg.
There are classes for everyone - from Cookery, Preserves, Art, Craft, Photography, Poetry/Prose and Floral Art, to the usual Floral and Garden Produce sections. There are lots of classes for Children to enter, varying according to their ages. We also have prizes for the Children's winners, as well as rosettes.
Full lists of all the Show Classes are on the Llanteg Facebook page and the village website, llanteg-village.co.uk. Entry to Classes is free - and there is still time to submit your forms. Entry forms are online or you can contact Roy James on 01834 831468 or email [email protected]. Entries should be submitted by Thursday 8th August - this can be done online by emailing them to [email protected]
