TENBY and District Swimming Club is now 50 years old, and now the club is on the hunt for past pictures and memories. Can you help?

Known as the Tenby Dolphins, the club’s origins date back to Saturday, February 15, 1975 when at a public meeting held at Tenby Swimming Pool, it was decided to form the Tenby and District Swimming Club.

The club’s home has always been the swimming pool at Tenby Leisure Centre.

Recent achievements include a total of three gold, three silver, and four bronze medals among the team at the Nofio Sir Gar Open Meet (Carmarthen championships).

Tenby swimmers representing Pembrokeshire County came away from the West Wales Regional Long Course Meet in Swansea with a total of 14 medals, as well as personal best achievements and fantastic relays.

Congratulations also go to Ann and Bob Adams on winning the Swim Wales Award for Outstanding Contribution to Aquatics, after decades of service to swimming.

As plans for celebratory events get underway, the club is appealing for any former members or families and friends who have any past photographs, cuttings or reminiscences to please send them by email to [email protected]
