Owls can certainly draw in the crowds as over 200 people visited Colby Woodland Garden for the Bank Holiday Owl Prowl.
The day was a partnership event planned by the National Trust, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and the Tinkers Hill Trust Birds of Prey and Swan Rescue Centre, with guest owls from the Glantawe Owl and Hawking Club.
Elizabeth Sleight, events co-ordinator for the National Trust, said: "We wanted everyone to come to Colby and find out more about these beautiful creatures. We were delighted to hold the day in support of Maria Evans, of the Tinker's Hill Trust, because she works tirelessly rescuing birds of prey and returning them to the wild."
Maria Evans has been singled out for a special award by the RSPCA which will be presented to her at the society's annual general meeting in London at the end of June.
