On Wednesday, May 25, at the meeting of the 3rd Pembroke Sea Scout Group in front of the Cub Scouts, Scouts, parents and leaders and in particular Sara and Timmy Evans, Jordan Evans was presented the award of the Chief Scouts Medal for meritorious conduct by the Group Scout leader Mrs. Carol Rowe, herself a recipient of this award in 1985.
Jordan, 15, has been a member of the 3rd Pembroke Sea Scout Group since joining Beaver Scouts at the age of six years and has progressed through all sections and is presently working as a young leader and member of the Viking Explorer Scout Unit.
Jordan, of Pembroke Dock, has shown great courage and fortitude during many years of sometime painful hospital treatment, but his cheerful and positive determination despite this is determined to live life to the full despite his disability and is an example to all others in Scouting.
