Marathon walker Clive Lewis recently completed the first part of a two-section fundraising event by walking the 1,085 metres from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon.

This walk was part of Clive’s 24th series of walking fundraising events which have seen him raise over £180,000 over a period of 32 years. The second phase will comprise six daily walks through London, which Clive is currently in the process of arranging.

These two recent events, with a target fund of £2,000, are being undertaken to enable Narberth Health Centre to purchase an AND TM-2655P Waiting Room blood pressure monitor at a cost of £1,995. This will help to reduce both waiting times and ‘white coat’ syndrome when it comes to blood pressures being taken. This will mark Clive’s 84th purchase for hospitals and clinics around the county.

Clive was accompanied on his walk up Snowdon by his eldest son and family, including his five-year-old granddaughter, Caoimhe and his seven-year-old grandson, Evan, who are obviously following in their grandfather’s adventurous footsteps.
