Seventy-four-year-old Clive Lewis, the voluntary walker from New Hedges, has reached his targets for Withybush Hospital equipment and a sophisticated machine for the clinics in Northfield Road, Narberth, by again meeting hundreds of people across the county over a number of months.

He has conducted two presentations, firstly to Dr. Tim Lewis, consultant for respiratory in Withybush, and to the doctors and staff in Narberth. The £5,000 cheque has funded four humidifiers, plus all accessories for severe respiratory problems, at the hospital, and a Welch Allyn PC electro-cardigograph for the Narberth clinics.

Amazingly, to date, Clive has funded no fewer than 60 machines, sensors, monitors etc, over many years throughout the county, all of which have not been NHS provisions. Heart, kidney, diabetes, respiratory and rehabilitation patients have all benefited from them.

He has just returned from the first phase of his 16th major UK event and awaits suitable dates to cover the second phase in the late summer.

Photographs from the presentations are delayed at moment. As soon as these are available, they will appear in the press. Clive apologises for this, but would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank his numerous supporters once again and hopes to continue this voluntary work, leading to his 17th event.
