Carmarthenshire County Council has put a plea out to the public to try and track down individuals caught on camera failing to clear up their dog’s faeces.
Posting on their social media accounts, Carmarthenshire Council stated: “We are looking for help to identify individuals caught failing to clear up their dog’s faeces in Llanelli and Carmarthen.
“Images captured on CCTV show the separate incidents taking place on Lammas Street, Carmarthen and Penywarc Road, Llanelli.
“It is hoped that residents may be able to assist in identifying the individuals.”
Cllr Aled Vaughan Owen, Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Decarbonisation and Sustainability said: “We are asking members of the public to help us to identify the individuals captured on CCTV who have failed to clean up after their dogs.
“I urge the small minority of dog owners who fail to act responsibly to consider the negative impact that dog fouling offences have on our local communities.
“Our Environment Enforcement team will take action against anyone caught committing environmental offences.”
