After commenting recently on how sad it was to see local coach company Silcox close, members of Tenby Town Council have received a thank you message from the firm’s owner.

Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter recently told her colleagues that it was sad to see Silcox go into administration after serving the town of Tenby and the county so well over the years.

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, members received a response from Keith Silcox.

“As a family we are deeply saddened that Silcox Coaches have had to cease trading,” he wrote.

“On a more positive note, Edwards Coaches of Pontypridd are now operating out of our old premises at Pembroke Dock and Tenby.

“They have re-employed a number of Silcox staff and I am sure they will offer the people of Tenby and Pembrokeshire an excellent service in the years to come,” he added, noting that the Pembroke Dock and Tenby telephone contact numbers remained the same for services.
