Tenby Stores and Post Office’s Fiona Malone has made a good ‘impression’ after being handed a top ‘retailer’ award by renowned impressionist, comedian and satirist Rory Bremner.
The Tenby premises located along South Parade opposite the historic Five Arches saw off competition from across the UK and Ireland to win a top award from one of Europe’s biggest employers’ associations.
Fiona, who owns Tenby Stores and Post Office with her husband Vince, was named Vape and Reduced Risk Products Retailer of the Year, at the exclusive 2024 Fed Awards.
The glittering ceremony was hosted by renowned impressionist, comedian and satirist Rory Bremner at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham on June 18.
The Fed (Federation of Independent Retailers) is a not-for-profit organisation with more than 10,000 members throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Fiona said: “Winning the award is really fantastic and is testament to our team and how we work together. It’s lovely to have this recognition and means that we are doing the right thing.
“It makes us feel more secure in the way we do things,” she added, after picking up the award from Rory and Joe Howship, area manager West Midlands, from award sponsor BAT.
The judges went onto say: “Tenby Stores and Post Office offers an extensive range of vape and heat-not-burn alternative products.
“This unrivalled range and availability makes them the go to retailer for all vaping and alternative smoking products in their town,” they continued.
With the last bank in the seaside town set to close thise summer, local Senedd Member Samuel Kurtz recently praised Tenby Stores and Post Office for the way the business is helping to support local access to cash and banking needs.
“Tenby Stores and Post Office are offering a vital service to the residents of Tenby, especially now with their enhanced banking offer,” said the Senedd Member for Carmarthenshire West and South Pembrokeshire.
“Access to cash for individuals and businesses is important for a number of reasons so it’s great that Tenby Stores are leading the way not just in Pembrokeshire, but in Wales,” added Sam.
