A past winner of BBC One’s The Apprentice is sounding out the possibility of opening a shop in Tenby to sell her treats.
Alana Spencer, who was chosen by Alan Sugar as the popular show’s winner back in 2016, became a self-taught chocolatier aged 16, renting her first kitchen and starting to sell her luxury chocolates to friends, family and teachers before quickly attracting the interest of two shops in Aberystwyth.
After earning a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, she was able to take her passion for her business and delicious cakes to the next level and ‘Ridiculously Rich by Alana’ was born!
Posting on social media this week, Alana said: “Never one to rest on my laurels, despite having just opened my second and third stores, I am on the hunt for more as I pursue my dream of having little blue huts dotted all the way around the Welsh coast!”
“At the moment I’m focusing my attention on Mumbles, Tenby, Penarth, Porthcawl, Conwy, Aberaeron, Barmouth and Abersoch although if anyone has any alternative suggestions fire them at me!
“Ideally it would be great if you could send me pics of any potential sites plus contact details of the owners and if any of these leads pay off...you’ll be my guest of honour at the grand opening!”
