It was a big night for Celtic Holiday Parks recently at the National Tourism Awards for Wales.
Having already been selected as regional winners in the category of best caravan, camping or glaming, the team were delighted to pick up the all Wales award.
Huw Pendleton, MD, Celtic Holiday Parks, commented: “This really is a spectacular pinnacle for us, the culmination of 16 years growth and investment into the business, which now employs over 40 people.”
Celtic Holiday Parks has grown from an initial purchase of Croft Country Park, Reynalton in 2002, followed by Noble Court in Narberth and then Meadow House overlooking Amroth Bay. The early days saw just six staff operating the business which was primarily owner based static caravan holidays. Having invested significantly into the wider tourism market, Celtic’s portfolio across Pembrokeshire includes the three Parks which are also home to Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar and Simply Balance Wellness and Beauty based at Croft and open to the public all year around. Celtic Holiday Parks continues to grow its rental fleet, long-term tourer offer and glamping product bringing thousands of visitors to the county each year.
“Glamping first came onto our radar some five years or so ago, and research has shown, the product is here to stay, albeit at the higher luxury end,” said Huw.
Continuing to be at the forefront of trends rather than setting them, ‘Celtic Escapes’ at Noble Court comprises wooden Hideaway log pods; Safari tents and Bluebell Lodges which all feature hot tubs and the arrival of stunning Hampton Lodges which boast stunning woodland valley views.
“Bringing the very best tourism product in the caravan, camping and glamping offer in Wales to Pembrokeshire is important to me, my family and team. 2018 sees a planned £1m plus investment at Meadow House Holiday Park to enhance existing leisure facilities to include a Spa and Wellness Facility and Restaurant,” said Ann Pendleton, director.
