Passengers living in South Pembrokeshire have a new bus service with a difference, thanks to Pembrokeshire County Council.
'Dial-A-Bus' is a door-to-door service for all the community.
And unlike normal services, Dial-A-Bus will pick up the passenger from their home providing they book their trip in advance.
It serves people living in Herons Brook, Reynalton, Cresswell Quay, Lawrenny, Martletwy, Landshipping and Crosshands on Tuesdays and Fridays.
It also serves the communities of Clunderwen, Cold Blow, Tavernspite and Ludchurch on Wednesdays.
"The bus will take people wherever you want to go, as long as the bus is going in that general direction. In this case, the bus service goes to Narberth," said Clr. Brian Hall, cabinet member of environment and transportation.
Dial-A-Bus is especially designed to help people who cannot use conventional buses. It has wheelchair access and a lift to help people get on and off easily.
The service has also been designed to connect with other local bus services travelling to Haverfordwest, Kilgetty and Tenby.
The service is provided by Pembrokeshire County Council and operated by Narberth and District Community and Sport Association (NDCSA). The scheme uses the 16-seater minibus based at the Bloomfield Centre, Narberth.
• For an information leaflet or to book a trip, contact the Dial-A-Bus office on Freephone 0800 7831584 at least the day before the journey. The deadline for bookings is 4 pm the day before you want to travel.
