Tenby RNLI paid a visit to their Burry Port life- saving colleagues recently. The Pembrokeshire crew docked at the town's harbour with their £2.5 million Haydn Miller lifeboat as part of a training exercise. Members of the fund-raising Burry Port RNLI Ladies Guild were given a tour and taken out for a spin on the all-weather boat, while mums, dads and children were also allowed on board the Tamar class vessel for a look around. Burry Port RNLI chief Spencer Davies said: "The Tenby station covers the whole of the Carmarthenshire coastline and so they need to come here occasionally. "Because the sandbanks and rivers are constantly changing, they need to familiarise themselves with the area periodically. "It's very important we meet up because we have a working relationship, and they are our flank station. Quite often on a prolonged search, we work together."
