The ‘Together Stronger’ voluntary group based in Tenby has said a huge ‘thank you’ to the people of Pembrokeshire and local businesses for contributing reading books towards the children’s unit of Withybush Hospital.
The group was set up at the start of the pandemic, to help those in the community that were vulnerable or self-isolating, and have continued to carry on the good work over the past few months.
“I delivered to the children's unit today - they were so surprised and happy,” said Julie Wickland from the group.
“I know money is really tight for all of us right now, so thank you all for digging deeper than ever,” she continued, thanking Morrisons, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and McDonalds branches across the county for donating to the cause.
