A suggestion to install an ‘Observation Wheel’ in Tenby has been met with curiosity by members of the Town Council.
In correspondence that came before councillors at their meeting this month, Mr Henry Studt, of Studts’ Events, explained that they had recently installed a ‘Big Wheel’ on Mumbles Pier and were now suggesting the introduction of something similar in Tenby, which would further enhance the seaside town’s profile as a ‘must-see visitor destination’.
Councillors indicated that they were intrigued by the suggestion, but felt that the proposal was ‘too light’ on details, and raised concerns it could turn the historic town into ‘Disneyland’.
Members agreed to accept Mr Studt’s offer of a meeting to discuss the idea in more depth.
