Charlie Cronick, age seven, from St. Florence won the Triumph over adversity award sponsored by Pembroke Power Station at the Radio Pembrokeshire Local Achievers Awards at Folly Farm recently.

Charlie was nominated by six different people for the award for his fantastic efforts to help others whilst dealing with his own medical problems.

Charlie suffers from a severe heart condition and has raised over £1,400 this year for the British Heart Foundation and the cardiac ward at Bristol Children’s Hospital. He took part in the BHF detox challenge, held a raffle and coffee morning at his school St. Florence VC plus a Hallowe’en disco in St. Florence Village Hall too.

All his family, football team mates and everyone at St. Florence school are extremely proud of him and his achievements this year.
