Work on the A477 Nash Fingerpost junction between on the road between Milton and Pembroke Dock looks set to be completed earlier than expected.

Traffic lights are being installed at the ‘treacherous’ junction, with campaigners long calling for safety and layout changes to the dangerous ‘black spot’ at the busy junction along the A477 to A4075.

The North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency has stated today (August 9): “Although some testing and additional work is still required, the road will be open in both directions earlier than planned, by August 15 at 6am.

“Please note that after the road reopens, permanent traffic signals and a 40 mph speed limit will remain in place to ensure the safety of the crossing.

“There are still some elements of work to be completed but these are small-scale and localised.

“This will require traffic lights to be re-installed at the junction after the bank holiday in September between 9.30am and 3pm. Further updates will be given closer to the time.”
