Sara John, granddaughter of internationally known artist Augustus John, will be giving a fascinating talk at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery on Wednesday, October 10, at 7 pm.

In the talk, Sara will be offering her personal remembrances about her grandfather and her great aunt, Gwen John, as well as discussing their place in British art.

Augustus John was born in Tenby and both he and Gwen spent their childhoods in the town before going off to further develop their artistic skills at the Slade School of Art.

The museum and art gallery has several fine examples of their work, as well as a display case of the artists' personal possessions, including Gwen's sewing box and Augustus's pipe.

Tickets for the event are limited and cost £5 (£4 if booked in advance).
