Members and friends of Carew Wesley Chapel have celebrated a very special occasion as Mrs Sue Mansell was inducted as a local preacher.

It was a beautiful sunny day not only outside but also inside Carew Wesley Chapel in Pembrokeshire which had been expertly painted the week before. With the Chapel looking its best, floral displays added, members, friends, and local preachers gathered in support.

Sue’s induction on Sunday, May 21, 2023 as a local preacher came after years of study, dedication, reflection and stoicism.

Rev’d Geoff Hayes presided over the afternoon with Rev’d Lorette Hinson delivering the sermon.

Everyone present congratulated Sue on achieving what has been, for her, a lifelong quest to share her Christian faith with others.

“We wish Sue well for the future,” said Ruth Ashworth, adding: “We look forward to her contributions to worship as she joins the local preaching team for the South West Wales Methodist Circuit.”
