Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed that a woman was detained on December 3, following a potential threat at Pembrokeshire’s Withybush Hospital, with the facility in Haverfordwest put into lockdown.
Police officers were called to the hospital, with access to the site restricted for a period of time.
“The force was contacted at around 11am, reporting that a potential threat had been received,” said a police spokseperson.
“Enquiries quickly established that the threat was a hoax. A woman has been detained under the Mental Health Act and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Hywel Dda University Health Board said: "Lockdown procedures were put in place at Withybush Hospital as a precaution for staff and patient safety.
"No-one was harmed and police assisted on site.”
