Tenby RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was on hand to give a helping hand to a broken down vessel on Saturday evening.
The all-weather lifeboat the Haydn Miller was launched shortly after 5 pm on Saturday (March 4) following a call to the Coastguard from the skipper of a vessel reporting intermittent engine failure off St Govans.
The lifeboat volunteer crew made best speed to towards St Govans and soon had sight of the the casualty vessel, which was on passage from Neyland to Burry Port and had two persons on board. After going alongside the vessel, the skipper requested a tow.
Following a tow of around 90 minutes, the casualty vessel was placed on one of the moorings in North Bay and the occupants brought ashore, where they were met by a family member; with the lifeboat then rehoused at 7.45 pm.
