Tenby RNLI launched today to reports of a boat that might have been in difficulty.
Tenby's inshore lifeboat was launched at around 11.45am on Thursday, January 23, after a report that a small boat was possibly in difficulty in choppy seas off Giltar Point.
The volunteer crew were quickly on scene and spotted a vessel close to Giltar.
However, after speaking to the occupants, it turned out to be a local fishing boat and in no danger.
After performing a further search of the area and with nothing else found, the call was classed as a false alarm with good intent, so the lifeboat was stood down by the Coastguard and returned to station.
