Tenby RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was launched shortly after 1pm on Wednesday, July 12, after being tasked to assist in a search for possible casualties, following an incident at Freshwater West.

Angle Lifeboat RNLI had launched some time earlier, but after the search area expanded, more assets were required to cover the larger area, so the Haydn Miller was requested.

The volunteer crew made best speed to their commence search position to the south of St Govans Head, where they were soon joined by Coastguard helicopter Rescue 187.

After a thorough search lasting several hours and with the whole area searched from land, sea and air and with nothing found and nobody reported missing, all assets were stood down to return to station, with Tenby arriving back at the station at 5 pm.
