Tenby’s RNLI lifeboat crew were called out whilst the seaside town’s harbour was busy for the Summer Spectacular - following a report that a kayaker was in difficulty after being blown out to sea.
The Haydn Miller was requested to launch shortly after 6pm on Sunday, August 11, after a report that the kayaker was in difficulty at Rhossili and was being blown out to sea by the offshore breeze.
The volunteer crew were quickly on the water and made best speed to Rhossili, whilst Burry Port lifeboat also made their way.
As the lifeboat was passing DZ7, it was confirmed that the kayaker had made it safely ashore and was no longer in need of assistance.
The lifeboat was stood down to return to station.
