RNLI crew from Angle Lifeboat were diverted from their usual morning exercise on St David’s Day following a call for assistance from a 22ft sailing vessel suffering machinery failure.
The vessel, with 2 persons onboard was approximately 500m off the entrance to Neyland Marina.
The crew, who were exercising in Sandy Haven Bay at the time of tasking on Saturday (March 1) at 10.31 am, began proceeding towards the casualty vessel, arriving off Neyland around 15 minutes later.
With no further assistance required, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to her berth.
The boat was back alongside and readied for further service by 11:20pm.
