Dyfed-Powys Police have issued a warning over rogue traders targeting elderly and vulnerable residents across areas of Carmarthenshire.

A police spokesperson stated this week: “We have received several reports of rogue traders in the Carmarthen area targeting areas where there are predominantly elderly and vulnerable residents.

“Rogue traders often approach residents and state that they have noticed something wrong with the property and offer to fix the issue or offer to clean the exterior of the property and carry out landscaping work.

“We advise that you do not agree to any work that is being offered and only use reputable companies that you have contacted yourself to carry out any property maintenance.“
