Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed that sadly a person has died following a collision on the A48 road in Carmarthenshire this morning (July 19).
Dyfed-Powys Police is in attendance of a three-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 10:50am today, on the east bound carriage way of the A48 near to Foelgastell.
“Sadly, one person has died and another person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries,” said a police spokesperson.
“The A48 between Cross Hands and Llanddarog remains closed, both east-bound and west-bound.
“Road users are advised to avoid the area as it is anticipated that the road will remain closed for some time.
“Diversions have been put in place, however we anticipate high volumes of traffic and delays.
“We will update our social media once it has reopened,” they added.
