Dyfed-Powys Police had confirmed that a body has been found this afternoon (Wednesday, November 29), during the search for a woman that had been reported missing in Carmarthenshire since Monday.
A multi-agency search search for Angharad, who was reported missing from her home in the Nantgaredig area, had been continuing today, but Dyfed-Powys Police released the following statement shortly after 3 pm this afternoon: “Formal identification has not yet taken place, however Angharad’s family has been informed of this development.
“Our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult time.”
Superintendent Ross Evans had given an update on the search earlier today, stating that police continued to conduct a search in and along the rivers in the Nantgaredig, Pontargothi and Llanfynydd areas.
“I am extremely grateful for the support the local community has offered and provided to the family and the police,” said Superintendent Evans earlier today.
“We are also supporting Angharad’s family with specially trained officers during this very difficult time.”
