Fire crews are still on the scene, responding to a grass fire involving a large area of gorse in Pembrokeshire this afternoon (Wednesday, April 2)
At 12.34 pm on April 2 the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Crymych, Fishguard, Lampeter, Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn Fire Stations were called to an incident in Brynberian in Pembrokeshire.
“This incident is currently still ongoing. Crews have responded to a grass fire involving a large area of gorse,” said a spokesperson for the Fire Service.
“Crews are utilising wildfire beaters and blowers to manage and extinguish the fire, as well as drones to survey the fire spread.
“This incident is especially challenging for crews as 25-mile-per-hour winds are causing rapid fire spread.”
