Firefighters in Carmarthenshire came to the aid of a trapped donkey this morning - safely reuniting the animal with its owner.

At 8.09am on Friday, March 14, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew from Carmarthen Fire Station was called to an incident in Pontantwn in Carmarthenshire.

The crew responded to one donkey that had fallen down an embankment and become stuck between two trees. Crew members successfully extricated the donkey using animal rescue equipment and reunited the donkey with its owner.

The crew left the scene at 10.45am.
