Saturday proved to be a busy day for HM Coastguard Tenby.
The first of three shouts came shortly after 1.30 pm when the Welsh Ambulance Service requested the team’s assistance on the cliff path in the area of Swallow Tree Woods, Saundersfoot.
As the team returned to station, they were tasked to an investigation at The Paragon, Tenby. This was resolved and again the team returned to station.
A third call resulted in the team being paged at 4.12 pm. The team and resort’s inshore lifeboat were tasked to search the area’s around North Beach after a report of five missing children.
As the ILB and coastguard team were about to commence their searches, news came in that the children had been found safe and well and were quickly reunited with their families.
Safety advice was given by coastguards. The police were also in attendance.
On Sunday, HM Coastguard Tenby were tasked to assist the Welsh Ambulance Service and RNLI lifeguards shortly after 3.30 pm to aid a casualty on the resort’s Castle Beach.
The casualty was assessed by paramedics at the scene and then evacuated to the waiting ambulance at Castle Square by the coastguard team.
