Police in Pembrokeshire closed the Cleddau Bridge for an hour following a call reporting a welfare concern.

Part of the A477, the bridge spans the Cleddau River at Pembroke Dock.

Dyfed-Powys Police reported that they received a call for a concern for the welfare of an individual on the bridge, at around 4.45pm on Friday, October 4.

The road was closed for safety reasons and reopened at 5.45pm.

The person on the bridge was taken for hospital for treatment.
