Angle RNLI has experienced a busy few days - with four shouts for the voluntary lifeboat crew members.

On Tuesday, March 25 at 5.08 pm the lifeboat was tasked to assist a 6.5 meter RHIB with a total loss of power, off Angle.

The pilot vessel St Davids had also responded and managed to secure the vessel alongside until the lifeboat arrived.

Once on scene, the crew passed a tow and commenced towing the vessel to Neyland Marina.

Once arrived at the entrance to Neyland Marina, the casualty vessel was placed into an alongside tow and taken into the marina and moored alongside safely.

With no further assistance required, the crew were stood down and the lifeboat was back alongside her berth and readied for further service by 6.45pm.

On Saturday, March 29 at 4.25pm the crew were paged to assist with an ongoing police incident at Gelliswick.

The lifeboat launched and was soon on scene, where the Y boat was deployed to head in and assist.

After around an hour assisting on scene, the incident was resolved safely. Dale and Broad Haven Coastguard Rescue Teams and the police were also on scene.

As the crew were recovering the Y boat, the lifeboat was retasked to assist with a second police incident at Sandy Haven.

The crew began making best speed whilst receiving further information.As the crew arrived on scene, alongside members of Dale and Broad Haven Coastguard Teams, police officers and a police Marine Unit vessel, it was soon confirmed that the casualty was now secure.

With this, the crew were stood down and returned to station where the lifeboat was readied for further service by 6.30pm.

The following morning, at 5.56am on Mother’s Day morning the crew were paged again to assist with a police incident at Hakin Point. However as the crew were mustering, the launch was subsequently cancelled when the police confirmed a safe conclusion.
