The DPJ Foundation, thanks to sponsorship from Signspeed and a range of wonderful photos from across Wales are pleased to launch their first charity photo calendar.
The DPJ Foundation, a mental health charity that works with the agricultural community in Wales, came up with the idea as a way of spreading their message to more farmers.
Kate Miles, charity manager had the idea having seen the photos that are submitted regularly by supporters of the charity.
“I was so impressed by the photos that are sent to us to use on our social media I thought it would be great to bring a selection together as a calendar,” she said.
“We ran a competition inviting people to send photos to us from across Wales. We ended up with almost 150 photos to choose from.
“Luckily I didn’t have the difficult job of judging, that was left to Mirain Glyn, a photographer from North Wales and Sam Morgan from Signspeed who sponsored, designed and printed the calendar.
“A calendar is a great way for us to raise awareness as contact details for our confidential 24/7 call line are included on each page, along with a thought-provoking quote in Welsh and English.
“We hope that even just one person will see a calendar and be prompted to seek help for their mental health.”
Donna James, director of Sign Speed said: “It’s been a pleasure to support The DPJ Foundation with the design and printing of their 2021 calendar.
“We hope they will help to raise awareness and offer support to those in the agricultural sector suffering from poor mental health. We look forward to offering our continued support going forward.”
