A seventy-year-old woman from Begelly has admitted in court causing the death of a baby outside Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest by dangerous driving.

Bridget Carole Curtis, appeared at Swansea Crown Court this morning (Friday, September 20) charged with causing the death of eight-month-old Mabli Cariad Hall in a collision outside the General Hospital in Pembrokeshire last year.

Mabli tragically died in Bristol Children’s Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning of June 25, 2023 following the collision involving a white BMW car while in her pram at the front entrance of the hospital on Wednesday, June 21.

An inquest opening stated that Mabli had died of severe traumatic brain injuries.

The judge in the case released the defendant on unconditional bail ahead of a sentencing hearing which will take place at Swansea Crown Court on November 22.
