Tenby RNLI’s lifeboat crew launched into action after reports surfaced of a person clinging to a buoy in need of rescuing.

The Haydn Miller was launched at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, April 24, following a report of a person clinging to a mooring buoy in the sea off Carmarthen Bay caravan park.

The volunteer crew made best speed to the area, along with Burry Port lifeboat, Ferryside IRB and Coastguard rescue helicopter 187, while Police and Coastguard teams searched the shore.

With the lifeboat still a few miles from the scene, the crew were notified that the casualty had now been pulled from the water and was in the care of the Paramedic from the Coastguard helicopter.
